I love flying, but the tiny monitor I had just wore me out trying to see everything....so I got me a big one, 32 inchs and worth every penny it cost. When I'm not on the computer, it serves as a plain old TV. It responds as fast and more beautiful than a regular monitor.

Good observation. When they make a yoke with a left hand chinese hat switch so I can change views while my right hand is on throttles, I'll switch. Also, I would like for MS to offer a 16:9 option for their display. Anyone know if the new FSX has it.

32 !!! I want one !
About the panel, in the VC they should work fine.. the problem comes with the 2D panel images wich are designed for a 4:3 ratio and with widescreens monitors they will be streched horizontally.. there's no solution for this unless the 2D panel image is designed specifically for a widescreen ratio... it's not MS fault, when widescreen monitors becomes the standard the panel designers will start to include 2D widescreen panels.

Charly, I run it in the full screen mode, and the horizontal stretch is hardly noticed after a while. All instruments are easily readable and the panel labels are OK as well. I too am waiting for the 16:9 display options. I installed a Radion x1600 pro with 512MB and with my P-4 with 1 gig, it does great. I'm waiting on a DVI cable to try the digital output. I'll let you know how that works.

That is a very nice setup you have Clarke. Simple yet very functional. I love the monitor. I could use three of those for my purposes.
Best Regards
