Maybe someone can help me figure what is going on here. Look at my engine instruments and compare them to the airspeed indicator and altimeter. I am at FL340, showing 1.00 as my max EPR, around 90% N1, over 100% N2, and an EGT of around 700°, and I am at M.60. I can get the airplane up to M.80, but it puts the EGT well above redline and the EPR still shows 1.00. This is the Captain Sim 757. It has not always had this issue.
It may be worth noting that I have the Wilco A320 and have been having some issues with that aircraft as well. Mainly requiring MCT to get above FL280 and then cruise at a reasonable speed. Performance on both of these airplanes is normal below 10,000 feet.
Any ideas what is causing this behavior and how to correct it?

Try engaging VNAV. You're not using your auto throttles at all.

Engaging the auto throttles in this case causes the engines to spool down until the aircraft stalls. I should have mentioned that in my initial post.

Hmmm. Are you programing the FMC correctly?

The problem is your TAT (total air temperature) .....it indicates 64 degrees Celsius. That is EXTREME heat at that altitude.
Something is wrong with your weather...are you using a weather addon??

Michael, you are correct, that is the issue! I am using FSInn, and for some reason, even though I select the "Download real world weather" within FSX, the FSInn VATSIM weather is taking over and causing the error. I selected CAVOK on FSInn and then re-selected the real-world FSX weather and it has corrected the problem . . . definitely back to normal now. Thank you! This has been plaguing me for months.

Jim, you have narrowed the problem. There is a documented issue with FSInn throwing TAT temps once you climb above 18K feet. This has an affect on any aircraft you fly while using that program. FSInn forums will tell you to do just what you resolved. When climbing above 18K, set the weather to CAVOK and the problem will resolve itself. I went batty for a few days trying to figure that out last year.

Or you can just set CAVOK on the ground, reload your weather program of choice, and that's it.
