You could get better performance out of a SB chip because you can OC it much higher without worrying about the heat (as much at least). The IB does perform better if clocked the same as the corresponding SB chip, but you can't push it as far due to overheating issues. With a hyper 212 evo I have seen SB chips easily get past 5ghz, but with IB I have only gotten them to around 4.4. If you want a high OC go with the SB, but if you don't plan on going past 4.4 go with the IB. Also, FS/Gaming performance wise, i5 is just as good as i7 for ~$100 less. Just saying.
