I've been looking and searching for a freeware 767 that works for FSX. From what I see, the fleet installers don't have a vc. I don't plan to use it a lot, so I cant justify payware.

Rob, if you're looking for a VC, you're pretty much going to have to go with payware. The Level-D would be your best option. It only runs about $40 and is worth every penny. If you really don't want payware, the POSKY 767 is probably the best you're going to find.

Not a clue. I rarely, if ever, use the VC.

I fly exclusively in the VC. I just can't fly with 2D panel.

Well, unfortunately, the POSKY is about as good as you're going to get. If you really want a VC, you're pretty much limited to payware.

The SkySpirit 2010 767 is probably better that the Posky in terms of the flight model. No VC but a beautiful external model.
It is basically Version 5 of the Posky 767 but it was developed after Posky broke up. You can find it on flightsim.com and avsim.com

If you want to get a VC in the posky 767 that looks close to the 767, you could download the textures for the posky 757 VC an place them in the appropriate folder (Readme in the download has easy instructions).
Here is the link.

Hope this helps!

I only use the VC in my 727 on replays. Its cool but not practical when I'm actually piloting the aircraft.

The Level D VC gives the most accurate view. I use it 100% of the time. The others, like QW, I use most of the time, but the lighting isn't as good on the others, as it is on Level D. Sometimes its impossible to see the instruments in the others, depending on where the sun is.

Realism. As long as it's a decent one. I fly 100% of the time using the VC in the LDS 767. It has the most accurate "out the window" perspective I've ever seen in FS. It's also easier to look out the side window, and still have the EADI and PFD in view. But again, I know it's a matter of personal preference. Even within the LDS team, there are members who never use it, so, go figure. I use the QW VC probably less than 50% of the time, mainly due to it being too dark if the the sun isn't in just the perfect position. The LDS floodlights work even during the day, to you don't have that issue.
