Just found this on the Delta website. If anyone likes doing real real world ops, this is one to consider:
Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.
• Effective May 16 all LGA, DCA, and BOS departures out of Atlanta will leave out of T gates.
I already caught some real world ops that are departing out of other gates, but I think Delta is striving to get all the above cities out of the T concourse.

The new Atlanta International Terminal is considered the F Concourse and all associated gates begin with an F. If you ever see Terminal North or Terminal South, that is solely for checkin. Gates start with a T,A,B,C,D,E,F. According to (http://www.atlanta-airport.com/flights/search.aspx?FIDSType=A&SearchAirline=DL) they are still using the E concourse for international flights as well as the F concourse. There shouldn't be a Terminal I at Atlanta.

International flights can leave from any concourse. They just have to return to either E or F.

Yes One time flying into KMLB we left out of the E concourse as the prior flight came from one of the islands and i think it was Nassau, then turned around and flew to Melbourne, Fl

For the purposes of how Delta boarding passes and itineraries read/print, that's not 100% correct although I understand what you're saying. If you are a local ATL passenger checking in for an international flight, you have to check in from the new international terminal off of I-75 (that's actually how it's being branded). You cannot check-in from the South Terminal (exception being if you have no bags and you're using a kiosk). The boarding passes now read either "Domestic-Term South" or "International Term".
