Hey everyone,
For those Level D 767 drivers out there, let me pick your brains for a bit...
Since DAL flies both standard and winglet 767-300s, do any of you differentiate between the two? In other words; do you use your standard flight model for short-medium haul flight and the winglet model for your long haul flights? I have been exclusively flying with the winglet version (especially since most of my flights have been long haul).
What do you guys and gals say?

I have been using the winglet model on all flights. However When I used to fly the 757 I would fly the winglet model on long hauls exclusively

No WLs on the short hauls, and WL on the long hauls, kind of been on a 777 bender lately.

I dont' fly the 757 that much but when I do its winglets. I like the look. There is a 727 model with winglets but I'm more old school on that Boeing.

The standard Level-D model does not have winglets. I'm confused as to why you think you need to download anything else.

The real differeance is the ZFW is higher on the winglet version

As I use Project magenta merged with the LDS for my sim I only use the standard version as I don't have fuel burn and performance data for the WL version. i would be interested in getting hold of some weights for all DAL 767s. For example at BA they have one type. 767-336. But there are three weight variations in relation to ZFW were by the ZFW is artificially lower on two variations to keep Nav and Landing charges down on certain sectors. Does DAL have a similar system given the size of the 767 fleet specifically on the 300s?

I use the non-winglet version for shorter/domestic flights, and the winglet version for long haul. I also try to do a more "scientific" study and use airliners.net or JetPhotos.net to search for Delta 767s at a particular international airport, and see if there are recent photos that will show which models they're using. I know that the 757s are basically hit or miss though - seems to be wl one day and non-w/l the next.
