Hello all, when i try to download anything from DVA it tells me it has a NSIS error. Other installations are fine so i suspect it is this website. Can someone help me? I've tried the command prompt /NCRC thing and it doesn't work...

A fellow Missourian! .... I doubt it's DVA's site ...I just downloaded ACARS3 with out a problem. Whats this command prompt thing you're talking about...never head of it.

Its like an override, but it didn't work, and yeah i live north of St Joe lol. I've tried it on two computers so i'm not sure whats up

Yes i have. Umm i am the Admin on my own computer. What the bad part is i'm a certified technican for computers haha. It just seems wierd that its DVA thats causing it... I've gonna run some registry cleaners and see what happens

Being the ADMIN on VISTA/Win 7 isn't the same as right clicking on an installer and selecting "Run as Administrator" .... Also, are you having trouble downloading or installing?? Not sure why you insist it is a DVA problem....if members couldn't download and/or install the installers we'd hear a lot of complaints real fast.

To clarify its installing, and it happens on multiple computers so i'm wolndering what the issue is. Both are running Win 7, and they have ran ACARS before in the past, and its a brand new installation with all updates installed.

OK, so if you right click on the installer and select, "Run as Administrator" it still fails?

EDIT: Are you running an anti-virus like Norton?

Yes it says it still fails. And yes i'm running Avast and i've disabled it plus the Windows Firewall.

I think this error happens when you have a jumpy internet connection and you don't download the whole .exe at once.

This. Each installer has a CRC check to ensure it hasn't been modified since creation. If you're getting the error and everyone else is as well, I have a problem. If only you are getting the error, it is likely that either you are not downloading it completely or something on your computer is modifying it.

I get this error all the time, its VERY frustrating, but I figured I couldn't complain because it's actually my horrible internet. But if there's a way of changing it I would be grateful smile
