Hello everyone!
I am facing a HUGE problem. Pls help. Whenever I save a flight, fsx goes to not responding, then comes back, and when I load those saved flights, Fatal Error occurs, and game crashes. Pls help

I don't ever save flights so I've never had that problem. Why not just pause the flight and put the computer into sleep mode, and continue later?

Saurabh,
Sounds pretty severe. Have you tried loading FSX with the defauilt glider flight and just save that? If that works, then perhaps something related to your flight is causing the trouble. You would have to test some more to figure out what. If that save DOES NOT work, then a FSX reinstall may be in order.

OMG, that is scary, and frustrating.....I just reinstalled fsx. It is after the reinstall that i am facing this prob. I had quite a collection of saved flights earlier.....btw, before the reinstall, i had fsx crashing before startup, so there was no other way I could fix it. AND, I have saved these flights on the pmdg 738ngx, so do u smell a rat there? (pmdg is quite complicated...)

No I don't have a solution, but at least you know it's not FSX solely that's crashing. How are you saving the PMDG flights? Are you saving the panel states too?
Couple things I would try... make sure that the default flight in FSX is the actual default glider flight. Restart FSX with this flight loading up at the "select a flight screen". Try saving a PMDG flight after this point as a new filename. Then save the panel state. Close FSX, restart again, load the PMDG flight, then load the panel state. See if that bombs out. If it does, uninstall PMDG, start FSX, close FSX, reinstall PMDG, restart PC, start FSX and try it all again (save new flight, etc). If that bombs out, then something is wrong.
Might not be a bad idea to open a support ticket with PMDG as you may have a corrupt file somewhere.

I will have to that i guess, but I just wanted to let you know tht as soon as I save a flight, panel state gets saved on its own...(which wasnt the case when I had been using it before the recent FSX reinstall). AND, pmdg's behaviour is eratic. EG, most of the flights which are just after takeoff are flyable, and most landing ones are not. AND, i dont have the saved tutorial flights with me as yet, neither the panel states, which again, I had earlier.
Sounds like a well-cooked up mystery to me...LOL
