Case:corsair obsidian 650D

Memory(RAM): corsair vengence 8gb
Graphics card: Asus GeForce GTX 660 TI
Memory: 2tb western digital Cavior, crucial 128gb ssd

any thoughts on these specs and any help to improve ad especially lower the price as of right now it is quiet expensive

Looks good so far. You now need to decide core I5 or Core I7 CPU. A corsair H80 water cooler would go great with this setup. Unfortunately the cost can be reduced a little by changing the case to a cheaper one and removing the SSD. Or trying a AMD setup. Might save a a bit.

Not too sure about the 650D, but the obsidian line is usually made for the water-cooling crowd (I have the 800D) and thus has terrible air flow so it would not benefit an air cooler. Look at the Coolermaster line, one of the better flowing cases.

If money is a factor, don't worry.. the 2500k will perform exactly the same as the 2600k in FSX (or any other game for that matter) since it does not take advantage of hyperthreading. You would only see the benefit of the 2600k when doing cpu intensive work such as video rendering, or something of the like.
Both overclock similarly, I had my i5-2500 running daily at 4.8, my 2600k at 4.9 @ around 1.380-1.4v.

What will you use that SSD for? OS or FSX? If you plan to use it for FSX, I would say save your money on the SSD and try to look for some 150gb WD Velociraptors - they are cheaper and still FAST. Use that money saved for perhaps a bump up to the GTX 670?
They can be found on newegg at $114 for 250gb.
edit: yikes never mind.. SSD's went down in price apparently.

Like i said the i5-2500k will perform just like the i7-2600k.. so you will get the same performance by going with the 2500k, not the "i7".
A lot of people like the Phantom, it's a good looking case.

I would suggest the following:
motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130643
CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072
RAM - Vengeance 8gb is fine
Case - Phantom? if you want a very good flowing case, the best bang for the buck is the CM690 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119216 )
PSU - recommended by jonnyguru.com ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182073 )
just a starting point for you.

Yeah, like a week after I bought my setup this summer they went down in price. I wasn't happy to say the least...
