Hello All, Some of you that have been around for ages know me well, other not so much after a long hiatus due to various personal health issues that drug me away from the community to begin with. I believe my last leg was somewhere in 2010. Yeh that long ago. I was a big FS9 concierge and basically new the sim inside and out and what made it run smoothly. a couple of weeks ago while cleaning out all my antiquated equipment, I found my Raptor drives with all my FS stuff and my main C Drive. I decided to plug them back into the bench with the same exact MOBO and trimmings to see if it would start, it did except the fs9 and fsx drive failed, both with failed heads, anyway..... i had a back up made prior and was able to restore fs9 and x but it doesn't act the same as it did 14 years ago, so it leads me to this question..... I will rebuild FS9 and X but i am keen on FS2024 coming in November as well as 2020. Ive been out of the game for quite awhile now, and been researching options. most know me as an over the top guy, and I will spend some coin to enjoy it into my retirement years. Ill most likely wait for NVidias new GPU and Intel's CPU, but I heard AMD is also coming out with a new series as well. has anyone any insight on intel or amd and the newer sims, i understand FS can now utilize the cpu and gpu in order to have a smooth flight experience, vr is not in my future for now, it will take me a month or two just to get a normal rig up and all the associated software for online simming as well. but im all ears..... Sorry for the long read...
